FIFA to Choose Brazilian Cities

FIFA’s rulling committee, chaired by President Joseph S. Blatter, will decide on Saturday and Sunday, 30-31 May 2009, in Nassau (Bahamas) which 12 cities in Brazil will be hosting matches at the 2014 World Cup (20th World Cup of FIFA). This meeting of the committee is the second meeting of the year and the agenda features a wide range of topics that also includes preparations for the FIFA Confederations Cup’09 in South Africa and also the preparations for the 59th FIFA Congress.

Still, the top agenda of the Executive Committee is the choice of host cities in Brazil. In the beginning of this year a FIFA inspection team visited all the seventeen cities of Brazil. Last year in December the executive members came to conclusion to have twelve venues instead of ten in request to the Brazilian soccer federation for having a wider spread of matches in Brazil. The capacity figure says that all the potential stadiums would hold about 40,000 spectators.

The final match of the 2014 World Cup will be held in Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The stadium has the capacity to hold at least ninety thousand spectators.

The cities which showed interest are Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Jaaneiro, Porto Alegre, Brasilia, Belem, Campo Grande, Cuiaba, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Florianopolis, Goania, Manaus, Natal, Recife/ Olinda (sharing single stadium), Rio Branco and Salvdor.

Brazil won the right to host the World Cup on October 30, 2007. After 1950, this is the second time the country is the host to the World Cup and fifth to host it twice after Mexico, Italy, France, and Germany.

Other important topics of the agenda that will be discussed in the meeting are:
• An update on the agenda of the FIFA Congress will be given that will be taking place on 2nd and 3rd of June in Nassau.
• A report of the inspection tour will be submitted and also preparations for FIFA Under-17 World Cup this year in Nigeria.
• Updates of the other FIFA competitions’ preparations taking place this year and also the next year.
• A review of pending cases will also be made in relation to the member associations.
• Receive reports on other meetings of the committee since the last FIFA Executive Committee this year in March in Zurich.

Great Discount Packages For Colorado Golfers in Recession

Recession has engulfed many nations, so is with Colorado. During recession recreation budget are curtailed drastically. To continue enjoying golfing as before the Colorado discount plans are the buzz word.

There are two Colorado plans dueling with many options that save on different state’s courses in 2009. Monday to Thursday is the key days when many of the plans are made. But, there are several other courses that are made for both plans, offering weekend play.

Just take a look at both the plans and decide yourself, which best suits your requirements:

Green Saver
Now you can avail Green Saver at just $49. From February 1 onwards you have to pay $59 for the same. You get at this price the choice of 52 Colorado courses, which also includes 4 free greens fees i.e. almost 100 2-for-1 offers and 53 half-offer fees. This Green Saver package offers unlimited discounts at Aspen Golf & Tennis Club, Keystone River, Devil’s Thumb and Keystone Ranch Golf Courses. More to this, 8 free cart uses and 34 courses with the weekend plays.

Colorado Golf Passport
This offer is made by Colorado AvidGolfer magazine. This is a popular plan. It charges only $79.95 and includes many top courses in Denver area and throughout the state. The twenty-two courses also offer the weekend play on the passport. Even there are 11 resort courses, 6 of them is itself in Colorado, which offer discounts on hotel rooms or condos.

Google Chrome

Much has been talked about speed of internet. Now it's the time to talk about the speed of a browser. Google Chrome is the perfect topic to discuss. It is a gift to us from Google. Released in beta status in December last year, this net browser has covered the market. People are using chrome as browser, but it lacks a handful of features. It lacks the support for RSS feeds.

The Mac version of Chrome is underway. The best way to use add-ons in Google Chrome is via browser bookmarklets. To work with RSS there are two new ways. Also you can employ the use of this browser bookmarklets.

Self-Detecting RSS IN Chrome
If you visit http://www.feeds.ramisp.org then you will find that there are two bookmarklets available. They are "View RSS Feed" and Auto-Detect RSS." What you have to do is to drag these bookmarklets to the browser's bookmark bar. Now whenever you are on such page on web where there is RSS feed, you only have to hit the "Auto-Detect RSS" button. Automatically you will be taken to the page where the feed is displayed along with many auto-subscription links at the top. Alternate to it you can just hit "view RSS feed," if you want to see the feed here on the browser.

One of the main defect of this ramisp org bookmarklets is that there is limited choice of RSS readers they provide under the "Subscribe Now!" section. At present you can subscribe by using Google, Pageflakes, My Yahoo!, and Netvibes.

Google Bookmarklets
For Google Reader users the bookmarklets are the best for subscribing to feeds coming from Google themselves. Google provides two bookmarklets as an option for simple RSS subscribing. They are:

· → Subscribe - View the first available feed in Google Reader.

· → Show all feeds - Lists all feeds and links them to Google Reader.

Apart from these, Google also provide ways to note and share items by using bookmarklets.

Though these features are handy but they are still waiting for their best workaround to make a built-in feature. I think Google should first include RSS button in this new browser that integrates directly with their own RSS Reader.

How to Relax Sore Muscles

Written for ILoveIndia.com

Ahh, uhh, ouch! This is not just an advertisement for an ointment. This is the reality for many of us after a heavy workout, shopping for longer hours, manual labor or even just sitting for an extended period. Muscles can feel sore after over effort, hard work and sometimes because of the lack of any movement. Although a difficult muscle sore is best left to professionals, a common sore can be eased with the help of some common tips. A sore muscle can really act as a damper in one’s life, however running to doctor for every little thing is not a feasible option. Explore in the following points how you can relax sore muscles with the homemade tips and go on living painlessly, literally!

Home Remedies For Sore Muscles
* It goes without saying. Rest is the best for your sore muscles. If you are suffering from sore muscles, try not to use them vigorously, at least for two to three days.
* You can also drink lemon juice, as it helps in carrying oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and is also known for its detoxifying abilities.
* One more thing, which you can do for instant relief, is use Epsom salt. Add two cups of the salt to your bathing water or add it to warm water and soak your legs, arms, and feet, in the tub for twenty minutes. You can even soak a towel in a tub with warm water and Epsom salt and place it on the muscles.
* Stretching just after any activity will not let the lactic acid, which causes the soreness, collect in your muscles. Although the muscles will hurt a little after all the strenuous activities, it will bring long term relief.
* You can also apply ice packs for immediate aid, as they help in breaking the lactic acid, the main culprit behind sore muscles.
* You can also apply an emollient on the muscles. It’s always good to have a specific cream for sore muscles. Make it an essential in your medical box.
* Take fifty to hundred grams of dried beans and place them in a towel or an old sock. Now, heat them in a microwave for thirty seconds and let them cool down for a bit. Apply them on the sore muscles and see the magic of instant relief.
* You are what you eat. So, make sure that you have a proper diet and incorporate the right amount of proteins in it as well. This will not only prevent muscle loss, but also shoot up your recovery time.
* You can also add yellow mustard seeds in your bathing water, along with Epsom salt, to help relax the sore muscles.
* Apple cider vinegar also helps in relieving the pain from aching muscles. So, add 2-3 cups of apple cider vinegar to find yourself relieved from the sore muscles.
* You can also relax your sore muscles with a rice pad. Fill an old sock with long grained white rice and cover the sock with another sock. Now, microwave it for ninety seconds or a little more and after sock has cooled a little, apply it on the sore muscles. You will be surprised to see the pain vanish.
